Our story

INSPAREA is a Ukrainian brand, which helped more than 20 000 people to dive into watercolor painting easily and to get inspiring results. We create unique handmade watercolor sketchbooks and tutorials combining fast learning methods, innovative materials, and the watercolor expertise of old masters.

Vitali Dets, a Ukrainian artist

The idea of creating watercolor sketchbooks and tutorials came to me when I started improving my watercolor skills by learning from Andrej Gerasimyuk in 2014. Andrej has won many international awards for his watercolor paintings and I was very inspired by his works. I thought it could be a good idea to combine my fast learning method with Andrej’s 40 years of experience in watercolor painting.

Since childhood, I have always found the most efficient way to learn new things. I came up with a method of learning very fast. The method helped me to master 5 foreign languages within 6 months, oil and watercolor painting, piano, violin, guitar, acrobatics, and many other skills. Every time I learn something new I try to share it with people.

In 2005 I created master-classes in oil painting (1 painting - 1 master-class) in Ukraine using my fast learning method. Since 2005, more than 8000 amateur artists have created their paintings within one day in my studio. The results were so impressive that I started searching for a way to share this method with the world.

We combined my 15 years of experience in educating people with Andrej’s 40 years of experience in watercolor and created unique watercolor tutorials and sketchbooks accessible to anyone who might want to learn watercolor.

The first book "Watercolor trip to Italy"

We traveled to Italy more than 5 times to gather all the necessary materials (sketches, photos, etc.). Then, it took us 5 months to create 40 watercolor sketches among which we chose 20 of the best to include in the book. Once we prepared detailed instructions with descriptions of colors and techniques we created our first watercolor book.

The second book "Watercolor trip to France"
In may 2017 they started preparing a new book "Watercolor trip to France" while traveling in Provence. It took them 4 months of work and the book appeared on Etsy in March 2018.

The fast method of learning watercolor painting consists of 3 steps:
1. Learn basic techniques with the artbook "Watercolor trip to Italy"
2. Improve your technique with the book "Watercolor trip to France"
3. Apply learned techniques by Plein air painting (Innovative sketchbook Venice) or creating new watercolors with PaintIN sketchbook.
